Hmmmm. . . .

Yaaay ! Last Game Day of the year ! I sooo didn’t want to go – dunno if it’s lingering paint fumes or what, but I’ve been weary and worn all day. All I’ve wanted to do is sleep. But I didn’t want Dearest Son to miss another week, so I scraped it together and went. Not sure what the deal is, but S. and I were the only moms to not bring her lunch. Guess they’re much busier than me.

Dropped off and picked up some more Library books, but none for me, I’m still not done with that new Stephen King. Or the two Somerset Maugham books I got last month. He’s a great writer, and his situations are compelling, but I’ve yet to read one female character of his that isn’t an unfeeling train-wreck in progress.

We also got to Dollar Tree today – needed bread and pickles, and picked up an extra roll of wrapping paper. Our store’s already down to just three boxes of all kinds randomly mixed together, generic Santas and Transformers wedged next to rolls of Hello Kitty and holographic snowflakes. They had a lot more left last year.

I found a little faux-Perler bead set, complete with tweezers and a peg board in the shape of a six-point star. I snagged it because I was already wondering if there’d be much of a quality difference between it and the ones I got at Jo-Ann’s. Hoping to try one or the other soon !

Stumbled onto a little mystery today – an Elsa coronation DP&M doll ! I can’t find her anywhere else, or the Anna version. I would think it’s an elaborate hoax, but I can’t imagine anyone putting forth this kinda work – and yes, the box features the same Elsa on the back, too – for not a lot more than a regular DP&M doll. So I’ll call Jakks Pacific tomorrow, see if it’s real or not. If she is, I may wait ‘til I can find one retail for a bit less. This one does look a bit less frightening than the ice gown version of Elsa.

  1. Glad you are back to blogging! You were missed :) I cannot find this Elsa anywhere, I've even looked on Disney.com and Amazon. Maybe she hasn't been released yet? Let us know if you find out anything.

  2. Well, the new Elsa just looks super-caffeinated, instead of staring into your soul spooky, so she's got that going for her, at least. It seems weird that there's no info on her anywhere!
